While Danica Patrick has undoubtedly made her mark as a talent in Indy racing, her dabble into NASCAR has left people wondering if she’ll ever take it to the next level in the expansive, male-dominated competition. In other words, how much of her sexy will she really bring to NASCAR? Can she bring it all?
NASCAR is a big challenge, nothing that Miss Patrick has ever shied away from, however diving deeper into the NASCAR world and leaving Indy behind could strip away some of the star power that she’s accumulated – at least in the driving world.
Regardless of the fact that Danica Patrick has already got sex appeal and marketability, and that she’s a pretty smart chick on top of that, there are so many more drivers to compete with when switching to the more popular of the two cars.
The fact is, that as far as money goes, Indy is the goose that laid the golden egg for her. Even as a decent talent, it is unlikely she would be considered the most talented to participate in NASCAR racing. Yet, many men have had to eat crow when underestimating the force she brings to each competition.
When it comes right down to it, fans want to see Danica take on NASCAR and do well. Hell, she doesn’t even have to win, she just has to bring a decent race. But it’s unlikely she’ll give up Indy altogether in the short term, so fans are still waiting to see how far she’ll actually go.
For someone like Danica Patrick who thrives on taking on challenges and conquering them, the money is on her to eventually take NASCAR by storm and increase her success at least 10-fold. Danica’s NASCAR schedule has her next race just a couple weeks away on June 4, at Chicagoland Speedway.
